Genshin Impact Patch 2.3 will include a number of new characters, locations, and events that players can look forward to.
Genshin Impact 2.3 may not be available yet, but that hasn’t stopped a number of reliable leaks from showing up. Players are currently preparing to dive into Update 2.2, which will include Thoma and the new Tsurumi Island, the last of the Inazuma Islands.
As the anniversary event is winding down and the Inazuma content is drawing to a close, many Genshin Impact fans will be looking forward to update 2.3.
Patch 2.3 will include a lot of new characters, deadly enemies, and new locations for fans to get stuck in. Details have been pretty scant, but a number of new Genshin Impact 2.3 leaks have been discovered, giving players a sneak peek at the latest content.
Genshin Impact 2.3 release date
The Genshin Impact Patch 2.3 update will be released at the end of November. This follows directly after the release of version 2.2, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, which will arrive on October 13, 2021.
Direct from the update
MiHoYo has yet to announce the live stream of Genshin Impact 2.3, but we will likely hear an official announcement closer to the 2.3 release date. MiHoYo will likely host the 2.3 live streams on Twitch. We can look forward to the usual promo code giveaways and character demos.
Genshin Impact Patch 2.3 will introduce a number of new and recurring characters. According to renowned leaker @Ubatcha1, 2.3 will see the release of Arataki Itto, a mysterious character who is rumored to have “ghosts” as part of his Elemental Blast.
Several leakers also claim that Itto will wield a greatsword and has a four-hit basic attack combo. Whether he will be able to switch between a ghost / human form remains to be seen, but this would certainly make sense given his description of Oni.
Itto is described as “tall, with a large build and two large horns, which at first looks terrifying at first glance.”
Gorou is another character rumored to be released in Genshin Impact update 2.3. Resistance fighter Inazuma is known for his courage and loyalty, stopping at nothing to fight Baal’s Vision Hunting Decree.
Gorou’s Elemental Skill (Inuzuka All Round-Defense) deals Geo AoE damage and grants various defensive bonuses to those within the skill’s radius. His Elemental Burst (Play: Forward Unto Victory) inflicts more DMG AoE, empowers fellow Geo, and has the same effects as the War Banner from his Elemental Skill.
Gorou is officially described as having “beast-like combat intuition and tenacious will, ” allowing him to “find his way to victory even in the most critical moments.” It is this reliability that makes Gorou such a strong fighter in the Sangonomiya Resistance.
According to rumors, Albedo will have a rerun soon, which would coincide with the release of this Genshin patch 2.3.
Genshin Impact Patch 2.3 Map Update
Genshin Impact will likely include new locations, especially since version 2.2 will finally see the introduction of Tsurumi Island, the final Inazuma Island. After defeating Baal (Raiden Shogun) and renouncing his Vision Hunting Decree, Yae Miko tells the Traveler that they must head to Sumeru in search of their brother.
Whether 2.3 will see the release of this region remains to be seen, but we know this will probably be the next location we travel to. Sumeru is known as the center of knowledge, where wisdom and intelligence are held in high regard.
Liben, the traveling merchant for Genshin Impact, claims that “Sumeru is all jungle and desert.” This means that there will be a lot of new enemies and bosses that will likely inhabit this old area.
The Divine Choir Artifact Set seems to be the best build for Sangonomiya Kokomi, so travelers who were lucky enough to get 5-star support will want to get hold of it. After all, the added damage from the healing bubble will greatly increase Kokomi’s DPS potential.
Shell of opulent dreams
As version 2.3 will introduce a number of new Geo characters to the game , miHoYo will add a new set of artifacts tailor-made for these tank heroes. Opulent Dreamshell increases DEF and ATK, making it especially useful for Zhongli / Arataki Itto.
